Yes, I'm finally posting that story I've been referring to for months now.

An AU/variation on I'll Be That Girl. This time around, not only is Stephen MtF, Charlene is FtM. (So if you thought I was a pronoun ninja before...)

Part of the loosely associated group of fics which I have cleverly decided to refer to as Transverse.

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5

Charlene has to do a double take, but sure enough β€” it's just Stephen, the bratty cousin who cheats at checkers and once got run up the flagpole by the football team for making the mistake of paying too much attention to Hamlet. )

And you thought I was kidding about the mole-men.

The mole-manic woman in this chapter is #373 in the list from More Information Than You Require. (Mole-man language is described as "a melange of hisses, grunts, coughs, screeches, and French.") The rooster is...well.

Pay no attention to the slapdash derivative nature of the warfare in this part. (Hopefully you weren't reading this for the military strategy in the first place.)

Fandom: The Daily Show/The Colbert Report
Subject: Jon/real!Stephen
Title: Day Late Friends
Warnings: Epic unrequited love story; some ruined pants.

Two musical wishes at the [livejournal.com profile] fakenews_fanfic Secret Santa were in danger of going unclaimed: Goo Goo Dolls' "Feel the Silence" for [livejournal.com profile] shoebox_addict, and Cake's "End of the Movie" for [livejournal.com profile] kitsunesan. So I put them both in a mix.

Given the melancholy of the prompts, I tried to make the rest of this unapologetically tragic. It, uh, didn't take. (Seriously, can you think of any two people who are less angsty with each other?)

Warnings: YMMV self-harm; angst; sad Stephen in snow.
Two disclaimers, with love )

So much for this being a tale of helpless!puppy!Stephen. Now he and Jon get to deal, separately, with the fallout from Stephen beating Jon up and taking his stuff.

Cookies to anyone who spots the sidelong references to Narnia and/or Sailor Moon.

Stephen's a lone man on the move through a cold, cold forest. Jon's on the move too, although he had the foresight to bring an army. )

Title: Muse
Rating: NC-17 (sex, D/s, various kinks)
Pairings: Jon/real!Stephen/Allison
Summary: Scenes from a working relationship. As per the prompt: D/s/s (Jon as the Dom); long-standing arrangement; Allison's perspective; hurt/comfort (if you squint).

For [livejournal.com profile] megantracey, whose [livejournal.com profile] fakenews_fanfic Secret Santa wish asked for a pairing that I have never seen before, but clearly need more of in my life.

Spouseless AU for all three. Last scene takes place shortly after this video. I was hesitant to pick up the prompt because there were so many other writers who could do it better...but then none of them volunteered, and also I got mugged by an unexpected plotbunny. So here we are:

When Allison finally made it through the snarl in traffic, she found both of them on the couch: Stephen stripped bare and wriggling, Jon pinning him down by sitting on him. )

I have been promising way too many things to people lately, so I probably should not be doing this...but [personal profile] torches posted the meme, and I had to hear her meta about Witch Hunter Robin, so now I'm locked in. Whoops.

The first ten people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. Some other equivalent gift, like icons or mini-fanmixes or quickie meta, would make sense for people who don't write fic themselves. (Or if the writing doesn't come...)

You may get drabbles, or you may get chibis/sketches, depending on What I Feel Like. Or I can do meta-on-demand, if there's a question you're dying to hear me pontificate on.

Just to mix things up, I'll throw in one limit: you can ask for any fandom except fake news. (Some suggestions: Hellsing; Doctor Who; Sailor Moon; Good Omens; Jeeves & Wooster; Red Dwarf; Madeline; Read Or Die; Waldo/Carmen Sandiego; anything Dr. Seuss. But anything I've written/drawn/fangirled is fair game.)

For [personal profile] sarcasticsra, whose incredibly transparent [livejournal.com profile] fakenews_fanfic Secret Santa wish asked for a lighthearted mystery/comedy involving Brian, Jon, and "Stephen"...here is my equally obvious response. Featuring Stephen in CAPSLOCK, Jon in strange costumes, a mysterious meat thief, and a surprise pairing.

Special thanks to my mother, for inadvertently breaking my writer's block.

Rating: PG-13
Pairings/Characters: Jon/c!Stephen, Steve, Larry/John-OFeatherwick
Warnings: Fantasy clichés; past slavery, abuse; an overabundance of shiny things.
Two disclaimers, with love )

The plot thickens in this chapter of Princess Jonivere and the Jewel Riders. Featuring language barriers, stock tapestries, magical card tricks, dramatic foreshadowing, and, yes, potato pancakes.

Decorative capitals are still from Daily Drop Cap. List of chapters here.

Jon comes home, Stephen has a mysterious past, and John and Larry produce shiny things. )

My Secret Santa gift is up. And it is glorious.

Nobody wants to guess at the ones I gave? Nobody? The reveal's going to be soon, if not today, but that's still enough time for a few last-minute speculations. (Also, I will totally draw you something and/or write a custom ficlet if you guess right.)

Finally participated in [livejournal.com profile] go_exchange this year...and earned the dubious honor of being the first person in its five-year history whose gift slipped through the cracks X3

It did finally get posted: Death, But Not As We Know It. Featuring Sandman!Death, a walk through Purgatory, and marvelous pictures. There's also a stocking stuffer post by way of making up for the mishap, which has already racked up some delightful femslashly ficbits.

Meanwhile, the [livejournal.com profile] fakenews_fanfic Secret Santa is still ongoing. Anyone want to take a guess at which of the gifts I wrapped? (A couple of them are blindingly obvious - but hopefully not all of them...)

Title: Castle Down (1/5?)
Rating: PG-13
Pairings/Characters: Jon/c!Stephen, Rob, Ed, Kristen, Larry/John-O
Warnings: Fantasy violence; slavery, past abuse; complete disregard for historical accuracy.
Two disclaimers, with love )

This is a fantasy AU, which means the setting is vaguely Renaissance-y, plus magic. Featuring slave!"Stephen", protective!Jon, the wizard version of Wilmore-Oliver Investigates, an occasionally porous fourth wall, an evil plot, some unicorns, and a whole lot of magic gems.

As you might have guessed, it's ridiculously self-indulgent. Basically, I woke up one day and said to myself, "You know what I could use more of in my life? Magic slavefic. With lots of shiny things."

Decorative capitals are from Daily Drop Cap. Title is from a lovely Emilie Autumn song.

Title: The Heart Of Rock And Roll (Is The Slashfic)
Series: TDS/TCR
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Jon/"Stephen"
Two disclaimers, with love )

Summary: I tried to do the music meme ("put your playlist on shuffle, start writing when the song begins, stop when it ends"), but quickly found that I couldn't resist revising. So I made the results drabbles (i.e., 100 words each) instead, just so they would have some kind of limit.

Also, these take place in an AU in which "Stephen" and Jon are both teenagers in South Carolina. And, uh, they've been sitting on my hard drive since December 2008. Eheh. (Clearly I am on some kind of out-of-season spring-cleaning kick.)

'Cause by tomorrow morning I'll have this thing beat / And everything will be back to the way that it was )

Title: Assorted Belatedly Collected Drabbles (Sam, Jon, and Stephen Edition)

More long-lost drabbles from 2006, plus something a bit more recent. Mostly Jon'n'"Stephen" this time. But also Sam!

Title: Fresh Twists

The full arc of a highly dysfunctional relationship, in two parts. In which Stephen is an emotional live wire, swinging between violent anger and and desperate neediness, and unable to stop hurting Jon in the process.

A highly dysfunctional relationship, in two parts. In which Jon gets put through the emotional wringer, but cares too much about Stephen (and, for a time, too little about himself) to do anything but keep coming back for more.
